Sophomore Helen Sachs from Holland West Ottawa High in Michigan talks about her cross country season and emerging as the top runner for her team and one of the elite runners in the nation. Earlier this month, Sachs won the NXR Midwest title in a meet record time of 16:47.9 to win the Girls Championship race and qualify for her first NXN competition Dec. 3. She'll compete Nov. 26 at the Champs Sports XC Championships Midwest Regional race to look to qualify for the Champs Sports National Championships in San Diego on Dec. 10.
